The latest offering from Tasmanian author Les Morley.
Ever since Tasmania was first settled there were men that explored all parts of the State. With these explorations, they opened up the country to all manner of beauty spots that later became tourist attractions and groups set out on horseback to view these locations. It might have been the lakes, the mountains, rivers or even the coastline and as time went on and the motor car came into vogue many took to touring the State, not only on the main roads but even over bush tracks. This was the start of the motoring tourist.
This book contains photos from the 1800s to the 1960s of all manner of cars, coaches, trains, ships and aeroplanes that helped to build the tourist industry we see today.
